Ross is a member of the large red hot Fredricton N.B. blues community and is the winner of 2 “Rising Star” awards from the CBC. It’s said that Ross eats, drinks, sleeps and lives the blues. Whether telling tall tales, capturing the spirit of the blues through his own originals and unique covers in his intimate solo shows. Combining clever lyrics with old school guitar playing his shows leave one with the feeling that you’ve just made a new friend.
"The young guitarist most often plays a National Steel guitar and writes effective, original songs. 'New Stagger Lee Blues' is a particularly good example, with good lyrics re-working the familiar story.
The strong vocals are complimented by solid slide guitar work.”
- John Valenteyn - Toronto Blues Society ‘Maple Blues’ magazine
The series continues with Bobby Dean Blackburn on April 15 and a special appearance by Michael Pickett on May 20.
